  PLANT SPOTLIGHT

Pointsettia, Euphorbia pulcherrima

An indoor plant that is a popular seasonal holiday decoration. The plant is available in many sizes from mini self watering pots to tree form container plants. When leaves or petals are broken a milky sap appears.  The flowers add brilliant color to any indoor space during Rochester's long winters.

Common Misconception: In the US there is a common misconception that the plant is highly toxic.  This is not true; however it can be mildly irritating to the skin or stomach and we do not advise ingesting plant parts.
